SEIU Applauds Governor Wolf’s Executive Order on Minimum Wage
Harrisburg, PA— The SEIU Pennsylvania State Council today applauded Governor Wolf’s decision to raise the minimum wage for state employees and contractors to $10.15 an hour.
“In 2014, working families across the commonwealth came together to elect a governor who understands the importance of living wages. Today, Governor Wolf stood with those families by announcing a raise in the minimum wage for state workers and contractors.
“This is a crucial step in the Fight toward $15 and a victory for workers whose wages left them in poverty. But it’s only one step. We will continue to fight for a living wage for all Pennsylvania workers, and call on the legislature to take immediate action.”
