Victory! Majestic Union Jobs to Stay in Easton!

Countless hours of political and public pressure culminated into a victory that was announced at a press conference on Tuesday.  Fanatics is purchasing Vanity Fair’s Sports Licensing Group, which includes Majestic, and will keep our union plant open!  The press conference event included many heavy hitters such as Governor Tom Wolf, Attorney General Josh Shapiro, Majestic President Mike Pardini, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, and Fanatics owner Michael Rubin.  But it was clear that the biggest hitter of all was the workers of Majestic.  Over and over again, our members were praised for their dedication, commitment to quality, and hard work.  In words of Commissioner Manfred, our employees create “quality products with attention to detail that our players deserve and appreciate”.

In a time when preserving manufacturing jobs in America is almost impossible, we were successful by standing united.  We stood united not only as union members in our shop, but with other unions, mainly the MLB Players Association, and elected officials.  It is vital that we continue to stand together to ensure that our jobs stay good jobs.

Instead of having a rally this Saturday to fight for our jobs, we will have a rally to celebrate our victory!
