Connecting with our Community

Our union members have been very busy giving back to their community.

Thanks to our Ametek family and friends. 83 families/people will not go hungry for Thanksgiving this year.

In Allentown our members met during a CAT (Community Action Team) meeting in October to make emergency bags for the homeless.  The bags had soap, hats, gloves, scarves  etc. in them.  On November 16th the CAT team hung them up at the Fountain Pool Park, a park that has a pool house that is a warming station that is operated by the Lehigh Conference of Churches.

Our union members also adopted a family for Thanksgiving.  Our shops collected food to donate to a family in the Bethlehem area.  They received a 20 lb turkey plus all the fixings that go with a true thanksgiving feast.

Seeing the smiles on the family’s faces and knowing that the family will have plenty to eat made the members want to do more.

We will be adopting the same family for Christmas.  If anyone wishes to make a donation, please contact our union office.
