We are so thankful to have members in our school districts that care about the less fortunate. This year there has been a wave of uncertainties with the pandemic. Families that have never had the need to receive charity are looking for it this year. More families are out of work and can not make ends meet.
Fortunately we have members at the BASD and others in our community that have stepped up this year to help.
At the Bethlehem Area School District within our unions we have many people that willing to help. From dining service members, to custodians to teachers. Everyone is playing their part in helping out.
Custodians from Nithschmann help to load the turkeys from Jaindls onto a cart.
The attorneys from Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo have offered to assist during this difficult time. Sarah Cohen and her husband, Lee Gilman where able to get donations from Jaindl’s and ShopRite to help feed 16 families in the Bethlehem Area.

With the help of Cathy Turner, Cook at Nitschmann Middle School, she was able to reach out to a teacher in her school, Charles Falteich to help pass out the meal to the families.
